Clinicians’ Station | Multi-Purpose Lounge | Kitchen Area
Our doctors, nurses and care providers can check patients’ vitals from the station; have access to the very best patient monitoring technologies and are in close proximity to patient rooms so care is never far away. On a beautiful day, patients, families and visitors can enjoy the scenery and mood-boosting sunlight that bathes the lounge area. On a cold day, sit by the fireplace and warm-up.

NYC Health + Hospitals/Carter has single and double-occupancy patient rooms. There are also patient lounges with large windows that provide uninterrupted views of the surrounding neighborhood. Patient rooms and lounges also offer excellent sunlight.

NYC Health + Hospitals/Carter is nationally recognized for pulmonary care, with decades of experience in ventilator weaning. Our LTACH hospital is a regional leader in providing ventilator support.
LTACH Clinician Station
NYC Health + Hospitals/Carter is also a 201-bed Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) that delivers compassionate care to patients who are very fragile and require personalized care. We have a history of success weaning patients from ventilators and often outperform the average weaning rate of most competing post-acute care hospitals.

NYC Health + Hospitals/Carter now offers residents onsite hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Onsite treatment will reduce infection risk since patients don't have to leave Carter for dialysis. Each patient will have a uniquely assigned dialysis machine for their exclusive use.
