Humanities and Social Sciences

Home to our doctor of physical therapy, master of athletic training, and bachelor of exercise science programs, AHPP includes human performance and anatomy laboratories and innovative learning spaces.

Bertha Brossman Blair Music Center
Recording studios, teaching studios, individual practice rooms, and a music technology center are some of the facilities that students use starting their first year.

Neidig-Garber Science Center
Clyde A. Lynch Memorial Hall
A primary educational building and home to InterMetzo, a popular hangout spot. Actuarial science, education, psychology, and digital communications are just a few of the programs based here.

Our first gymnasium, Lynch Memorial Hall is now home to our Mathematical Sciences Department with majors in actuarial science, computer and data science, analytical finance, and mathematics; Psychology Department with majors in psychology and neuroscience; Design, Media, and Technology with majors in digital communications and interaction design; Art Department with a major in creative arts.
LVC Athletics
Nearly 600 students participate on one of our 26 athletics teams. Nearly half are recognized each year on the conference academic honor roll. Women’s lacrosse, men’s basketball, and women’s tennis have recently won championships.

Carnegie Building
The first stop for many campus visitors, it is home to our Offices of Admission and Financial Aid. Attend one of our Open House events, or schedule your own visit at a time of your choice. We’d love to meet you.
Vernon and Doris Bishop Library
A center of technology, collaboration, and academic engagement. A quiet place to read, study with friends, and grab a cup of coffee. The library also hosts campus speakers, honor society inductions, and other special events.

Frederic K. Miller Chapel
One of the iconic buildings on campus, Miller Chapel hosts major events including our traditional Christmas at The Valley and Baccalaureate celebrations. The college’s community service and spiritual life offices are located here.

Campus picnics for special events, and lawn games such as Ladder Ball or Kan-Jam, this is another green space to enjoy on a beautiful day.
