Located at 92 W. Miller St. in downtown Orlando, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children is part of Arnold Palmer Medical Center, which also encompasses Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies, located directly across the street. The two facilities are connected by a bridge to ensure the most prompt care for some of our smallest patients. The two hospitals comprise one of the largest integrated medical centers of its kind dedicated exclusively to the care of babies, children and women.
Valet parking is available for all patients and visitors for a nominal fee.
Stepping inside the main entrance, you'll be greeted by our Guest Services team who will direct you to your destination. Our spacious lobby includes a Starbucks coffee kiosk.
Arnold Palmer Hospital has the only Level One Pediatric Emergency Room in Central Florida*. Family-friendly amenities including bedside registration, private treatment rooms with TVs, and a dedicated children’s play area. The Walt Disney World Resort Grand Atrium celebrates the joy of childhood with favorite Disney characters such as Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Dumbo, Peter Pan and others. The Walt Disney Company has been a generous supporter of Arnold Palmer Hospital since the hospital’s opening in 1989.
The Arnold Palmer Hospital Cafeteria sells a variety of hot breakfast and lunch items, as well as fresh and prepackaged foods, salads, snacks and drinks. Hours are 6:30 am – 2:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Other options include the Miller Street Café, located in the main lobby at the Miller Street entrance, open 6:30 am – 8:00 pm, weekdays and 6:30 am – 1:00 pm, weekends. Across the street, the Winnie Palmer Hospital Cafeteria is open 24/7.
Pictured here is one of the playrooms where certified Child Life Specialists offer colorful play and learning experiences for our young patients. Child Life Services are provided within the hospital to help support the well being of our children and families. Our Child Life programs help children and teens feel safe during their hospital visits while exploring activities, music and the arts. Our specialists also help patients build coping skills by providing medical preparation and developmentally appropriate education about the healthcare they will receive. Learn more.
Our Pediatric Radiology department offers comprehensive imaging services including CT scan, X-ray, MRI, nuclear medicine and ultrasound. Arnold Palmer Hospital is accredited by the American College of Radiology for following the highest standards in image quality and patient safety. The décor of our Inpatient Care unit on the 4th floor of the hospital reflects the fun, friendly atmosphere we strive to present throughout the facility. Our compassionate doctors, nurses and staff work together to bring healing, wellness and smiles to each child they serve. Arnold Palmer Hospital has a total of 148 acute care patient rooms.
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit is a state-of-the-art facility with 17 private rooms that are fully equipped with the latest technology. Each room also includes accommodations for a parent. The unit cares for patients from infancy through 18 years of age suffering from trauma, drowning, severe infections, gastrointestinal problems, children who have undergone major surgery and other conditions that require specialized critical care. Transporting children who are critically ill or injured requires a healthcare team skilled in delivering children’s medicine. Our pediatric acute and critical care transport team provides 24/7 immediate response to referring hospitals in 18 counties around Central Florida. Our transport team is comprised of registered nurses, paramedics and EMTs who provide specialized care to patients being transported in a mobile state-of-the-art intensive care unit. Learn more.
