Our 4 South Neuroscience Nursing Unit is dedicated to the care of those with neurological issues or conditions. The team on this unit was honored with the 2019 Honorable Mention Unit of Distinction award from HCA Healthcare for their outstanding commitment to their patients.
6 South Orthopedic Nursing Unit
Our 6 South Orthopedic Unit consists of 30 private rooms and is equipped with the latest and greatest technology. The rooms are equipped with Apple TVs so you can utilize Airplay mode to bring movies or TV shows from home with you to watch during your stay. The beds also have a USB plug-in port so you can charge your mobile devices easily. Our rooms also have a sleeper bed so your guests can relax while visiting you. Our goal is to make your stay as comfortable as possible so you can focus on your healing.

7 South Postpartum Nursing Unit
Our 7 South Postpartum Unit consists of 30 private rooms and is equipped with everything you need to help you bond with your new little one before you go home. The rooms are equipped with Apple TVs so you can utilize Airplay mode to bring movies or TV shows from home with you to watch during your stay. The beds also have a USB plug-in port so you can charge your mobile devices easily. Our rooms also have a sleeper bed so your guests can relax while visiting you.

NFRMC Cancer Center
Our Cancer Center provides a wide-range of services, allowing us to provide excellent care for all types of cancers, including breast, lung, gynecologic, prostate and urologic. Our Cancer Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer as a comprehensive community cancer program. Our survivors are invited to ring our bell in the Cancer Center to signify the end of their treatment.
Innovative Technology in Cancer Treatment
NFRMC offers the latest technology in stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiation therapy. During these procedures, precisely targeted, high-dose radiation beams are delivered to tumors throughout the body without sedation or incision while radiation exposure to healthy tissue around a tumor is minimized. It is a noninvasive method of treating tumors with high-dose radiation precisely aimed from different angles. The result is greatly increased accuracy that spares healthy tissue.
Labor and Delivery
Our Labor and Delivery Unit delivers 3,300 babies a year- the most in Gainesville. It’s popular with moms because of the amenities, our physicians and our care team. We are proud to be a chosen place for North Central Florida families to welcome new life.
Operating Room
Our operating rooms allow for multidisciplinary care. Our advanced robotic program, which is among the best in HCA Healthcare, provides minimally invasive surgical options to our patients for a quicker and more successful recovery.
Cardiac Cath Lab
Our hospital is home to three full-service cardiac cath labs. We perform a variety of procedures in our cath labs, but the main function is to perform cardiac catheterizations. These are procedures used to assess the structure and function of the heart's valves, chambers and coronary arteries.
Main Emergency Room
When an emergency occurs, every second counts, and the quality of care you receive can make all the difference. The emergency room (ER) at NFRMC is open 24/7, offering full-service care for adult and pediatric patients.

The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit provides specialized and advanced care for those with severe cardiac illnesses or conditions, or those who undergo advanced cardiac procedures. This team has been celebrated as an HCA Healthcare Unit of Distinction for their incredible focus on patient care.
