Having a baby is a special moment in your life. Our Mother Baby area is located off the main lobby elevators on the 2nd floor. There is a waiting area for families outside of the unit.
Moms who may be in labor are first evaluated in our triage rooms. The triage rooms are where you can share your personalized birth plan with your caregivers. Your support person is welcome to be with you in triage and throughout your entire stay at Memorial Health.
Our labor and delivery rooms are designed for a family experience. We provide comfortable seating for family members. All our patient rooms have an information board that provides you with your care team so you know at all times who is taking of you and your baby.
After delivery, you and your baby will be moved to one of our mother baby suites. Your baby will room in with you and family members are welcome to stay with you.
We offer services for our high-risk patients by providing the only board-certified maternal-fetal medicine physicians in the area. We are the only hospital with a high-risk perinatal unit. In this unit, you and your baby will be monitored prior to delivery.
Our Mother Baby area has operating rooms on the floor should you need an emergency C-section. This allows for you and your family to stay close by as you deliver your bundle of joy.
This area is located beside the operating rooms so you can recovery after your C-section.
