It’s truly a one-stop residency training experience!
University Hospital and Cancer Center
Train at an institution where experiences, inpatient or outpatient, general or specialized, are easy to access with the main hospital, the cancer center, the parking garage, and the new ambulatory center (currently under construction) literally steps from one another.

University Hospital Inpatient Unit
Large, private patient rooms provide enough space for all forms of clinical technologies (i.e. ECMO, CRRT, Pheresis, etc.) with an overall unit design maximizing work space and teaching opportunities for all members of the healthcare team.
VA Medical Center
Just adjacent to the medical school, you will have the honor and privilege of caring for our veterans in one of the top-ranked VA hospitals in the United States.
Syracuse University
Syracuse University - our neighbor who we’ve partnered with to enhance your communication skills via our Education Through Theater Arts (ETTA) program.
VA Inpatient Unit
Crouse Hospital
Crouse is a private, community hospital where you will receive experiences in both their Emergency Room (where EMS ride alongs are offered) and Critical Care Unit (open-ICU concept).
Crouse ICU
While critical care experiences are available at all three hospitals, Crouse offers an open-ICU concept in which you are responsible for all hospitalized critically ill adults (from Medicine, Surgery, Neurosciences, Orthopedics, and Obstectrics) in a modern design with routine use of POCUS.
Upstate Health Care Center (UHCC)
UHCC, located across the street from University Hospital, is where you will have your continuity clinic as well as your formal outpatient curricular education.

Welcome to Weiskotten Hall, home of the medical school, the campus library, the simulation center, and space for your inpatient formal curricular education that is open 24 hours a day.
Medical School Library
A modern facility open 24 hours a day that provides study space, electronic access to PubMeb, UpToDate, Cochrane, Visual Dx, etc.), and full librarian support including access to the New York State public library system.
Sim Center-Learner Landing
The Center, opened in 2019, uses a wide variety of simulation-based tools such as procedural task trainers, high-fidelity manikins, standardized patients, haptics and enhanced reality simulators to help healthcare professionals improve clinical performance and patient safety outcomes.

Simulation Hospital Ward
All of the patient rooms have functional head walls and patient monitors. As the largest of the patient rooms, the Ward, can be adapted for multiple acute situations such as those found in Emergency Room, PACU, or ICU settings.
