Maternity Entrance

The maternity entrance at Miami Valley Hospital South is on South Campus Blvd and is conveniently accessible from Clyo Rd.

Check-In Desk

Our front desk staff are available to welcome you at any time, or to direct you to the comfortable waiting rooms and vending area.

Triage Room

Our triage rooms are available to assess your stage of labor.

All triage rooms have private bed and bathroom.

Labor and Delivery Suite

We offer spacious labor and delivery suites including a Jacuzzi suite.

Jacuzzi Suite

This suite is available for labor and water therapy.

Privacy Curtains

Room length curtains so loved ones don’t have to leave the room when there is a need for privacy

All labor and delivery suites have a quick access to operating room.

Various birthing balls, rocking chairs and more are available in each room to aid in the birthing process.

Pre/Post-Operative Room

These rooms provide pre and post-operative care for our patients.

Operating Room

We have large operating rooms staffed with an anesthesiologist, respiratory therapist and obstetric physician in house 24 hours for patient needs.

Twinkle Desk

This nurse station is just steps away from all labor and delivery, post-partum suites and our Level II Special Care Nursery.

Lactation Consultants

Lactation consultants are available to see all patients while at Miami Valley Hospital South. Once the patient goes home they can arrange home visits as well.

Special Delivery Button

Special delivery button when pushed plays twinkle-twinkle little star lullaby throughout the entire Miami Valley Hospital South facility when a baby is born.

Post-Partum Suite

Our post-partum suites promote non-separation of mom and baby.

Medela Breast Pumps

Garden Views

All suites have a view of woods or garden of hope view.

Pediatric Assessment

Each post-partum suite is pediatric ready with scopes and extra lighting where pediatricians can complete newborn assessments in the suite without the baby having to leave.

Level II Special Care Nursery

Our Level II Special Care Nursery is staffed 24/7 with nurses and an on call neonatologist.

Parenting Room

This room allows for discharged parents to stay at the maternity center should your baby need to be admitted to our Level II Special Care Nursery.
