Welcome to Methodist Hospital, where our caring staff is dedicated to providing a soothing, healing environment. This begins even in the parking lot, with plenty of free parking and a free shuttle (during regular hours) that will take you from your car to our front door - and usually driven by one of our friendly volunteers.

Helpful volunteers and staff strive to ensure every person has an exceptional experience here at Methodist Hospital.
Methodist Hospital’s state-of-the-art hyperbaric chamber is vital for patients suffering from a variety of ailments. Improved hyperbaric technology allows patients to sit upright or recline and enjoy movies or music while undergoing treatment.
The chamber can comfortably treat patients with severe diabetic ulcers, soft tissue or bone damage from radiation treatment, decompression sickness, carbon monoxide poisoning, crush injuries, air or gas embolisms, bone infections and even flesh-eating bacteria.
Caring for you and your newborn and ensuring that you feel at ease with all aspects of baby care are very important to us. Our nurses are specially trained to help you form those first bonds with your newborn and will help you with breastfeeding. We also provide a lactation consultant to help with specialized feeding needs. We are proud to have a consistently high level of patient satisfaction.
Methodist Hospital’s 64-Slice CT scanner can produce detailed pictures of any organ in just a few seconds. These crisp images allow physicians to make quick diagnoses when patients arrive in the emergency room with life-threatening symptoms such as chest pain or signs of stroke. The scan takes 15-30 minutes and requires no recovery time. It also can be used in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
With an array of innovative video imaging equipment and other advanced technologies, Methodist Hospital’s minimally invasive surgery suites offer new capabilities to the surgical teams.
The state-of-the-art suites are equipped with high-definition video technology, giving surgeons optimal views of the operating field during procedures. The new technology also gives surgeons centralized control of operating room equipment and systems. These advancements allow our staff to provide patients with an enhanced level of care.
Located in the North Tower, the Hollfelder Emergency Care Center is a 26-bed facility with 24-hour service. The 18-bed observation unit next door provides 24-hour monitoring for patients who have chest pains but no signs of active heart attack, a transition space for patients waiting to be admitted and a comfortable area for chemotherapy and other services. The center is designated as an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) by LA County.
Our Cardiac Catheterization Lab (cath lab) offers physicians a relatively easy and minimal-invasive way to diagnose and treat coronary artery disease. The cath lab gives physicians the ability to see inside the patient’s blood vessels and treat blockages. The Siemens Artis biplane coronary lab uses two X-rays to provide increased coverage suited for imaging of structural heart diseases. This saves time, minimizes radiation exposure, improves patient safety, enhances quality of care, limits complications and improves visualization for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
Methodist Hospital’s MRI – magnetic resonance imaging – allows physicians to diagnose a variety of illnesses. The MRI creates an image that provides contrast between the different kinds of soft tissue in the body. This is useful in diagnosing and treating conditions of the brain, muscles, heart and cancers. The 1.5 Tesla MRI uses the latest high-definition technology to create clear, detailed pictures and allows physicians to diagnose and treat more accurately.
