Welcome to Methodist Hospital, where our caring staff is dedicated to providing a soothing, healing environment. This begins even in the parking lot, with plenty of free parking and a free shuttle (during regular hours) that will take you from your car to our front door - and usually driven by one of our friendly volunteers.
Located in the North Tower, the Hollfelder Emergency Care Center is a 26-bed facility with 24-hour service. The 18-bed observation unit next door provides 24-hour monitoring for patients who have chest pains but no signs of active heart attack, a transition space for patients waiting to be admitted and a comfortable area for chemotherapy and other services. The center is designated as an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) by LA County.
Four new trauma rooms are equipped like “mini” intensive care units with overhead surgical lights and movable equipment “booms” that allow for state-of-the-art emergency treatment.
Each patient room in the Center is private, with a television, overhead lights and a bed with cardiac monitoring equipment. Some beds have adjustable head-and-feet controls for additional patient comfort.
Critical care rooms on the second floor are very similar to emergency trauma rooms. They have medical equipment booms, overhead lights, cardiac monitoring and time clocks to help the staff provide exceptional patient care.
In the past, emergency services averaged about 110 patients a day, but this number is expected to increase significantly in the future. The 26-bed Hollfelder Emergency Care Center, open 24 hours a day, is ready to meet the community’s emergency needs.
Every medical surgical floor has private and semi-private rooms, as well as two larger “family and friends” suites. Different color schemes were selected for each floor to provide a soothing and healing environment. Many rooms also offer beautiful mountain views.
